Program Overview

Skidmore in Spain is like two programs in one – Skidmore in Madrid and Skidmore in Alcalá. Both programs are run in conjunction with Tufts University and offer you amazing opportunities and access to Spanish culture. They are designed for students with high-intermediate or advanced knowledge of Spanish language, and strive to integrate students into the life of Madrid and Alcalá through courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, or the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.

The Skidmore in Spain program is limited to 20 students, who are joined by up to 20 students from Tufts University. You may enroll in the program for the full academic year, the fall, or the spring.

Laughs Assured with Rieloterapia Show

Rieloterapia Show is a workshop-show aimed at helping the public to rediscover happiness through laughs. February 16 at the Teatro Salón Cervantes of Alcalá de Henares.

The main objective of Rieloterapia Show, in addition to laugh, is to interact with the audience making them participants in everything that comes on stage in an original and fun way.

It’s a   solidary spectacle in favor of NGO’s, associations and groups that need diffusion, as in the case of the representation that will be held in the Teatro Salón Cervantes, where incomes will go to the Poor House Sacramental Brotherhood of the Forsaken Holy Christ and the Virgin of Sorrows.

First International Engraving Exhibition

First International Engraving Exhibition «In Search of Lost Paradise» at the Monastery of Saint Bernard in Alcalá de Henares, open from February to March.

Until the end of March the new Exhibition Hall of the Monastery of St. Bernard will host the First International Engraving Exhibition «In Search of Lost Paradise«.

The exhibition brings together works made by 27 artists from 10 countries in the Eastern Europe. It has been promoted by the International Centre for the Study of the Christian East (ICSCO) of the Archdiocese of Granada. After being exposed in Granada in the past few months now reaches Alcalá, where you can visit it for free.

The exhibition curator is the Armenian artist Hayk Grigoryan.

Opening times:

  • From Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 to 2:00 pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Open until the end of March, 2014.
