Alcalá de Henares will celebrate a new edition of the traditional Bonfire of St. Lucia, as part of the Christmas festivities.
The objective of this bonfire, organized by the Cultural Children and Friends of Alcalá Association held every year on the eve of St. Lucia, is to burn the old objects before Magisterial Cathedral tower, to remove all the negative things from the complutense city.
Traditionally, a parade leaves Plaza de Cervantes playing bagpipes, runing through the main street to the square of Santa Lucia, opposite the Cathedral Magistral tower.
The kick off will be on December 13 at 6:30 pm since the beginning of calle Mayor. The bonfire will be lit at 19:00 pm in front of the chapel of St. Lucia.
