Now you can enjoy a new Tommy Mel’s diner in Alcalá de Henares, complete with 50s American style food, music blasting and energetic waiters in timely costume.
With this opening, the restaurant chain continues its ambitious expansion plan which began in mid-2011.
Entering to one of these restaurants is like making time travel, its decor evokes the typical 50s American style, and you suddenly will remember movies like “Grease” or the famous “Back to the Future” restaurant.
To bridge the Spanish-American gap, you can order cocktails, beer and wine and have cheese fries with local blue-cheese topping. But, the majority of the menu is reminiscent of the movie Grease and is probably cooked with plenty.
The bright and bold colors of the waiters uniforms give a touch of originality to Tommy Mel’s universe, which will offer dishes from original recipes from the American cuisine. All with a very competitive price, with an average ticket of 12 euros.
The menu includes a wide range of more than 60 possibilities: sandwiches, wraps, mom’s diner plates, hot dogs, and of course burgers. Without any doubt, the latter are the centerpiece of the menu. You will also taste onion rings, sweet potatoes, chicken tenders, nachos, and its spectacular salads.
Don’t miss the dessert and milkshake menu. Over 25 delicious desserts like home made cakes, American pancakes, prepared fruit and ice cream, and a variety of 40 flavors of genuine and creamy milkshakes are included.
Moreover, Tommy Mel’s offer is completed with the opportunity to enjoy the most emblematic and international cocktails throughout the day. Margaritas, Mojitos, Piña Colada, Cosmopolitan and Sex on the Beach for darest people and Wildberry Smoothie, Virgin Bloody Mary or Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri for those who prefer to do without the alcohol.
Tommy Mel’s opened this year eleven new locations in Gijón, Elche, Orihuela, Barcelona, Zaragoza and six in Madrid. In total, the chain currently has more than 30 stores.
