On Saturday, December 21, the traditional Christmas Concert by the Complutense Symphonic Band will be held in the Teatro Salón Cervantes.

The Complutense Symphonic Band
The origins of the Complutense Symphonic Band date back to March 1999 when thirty student musicians and music fans, start gathering under the direction of Luis Antonio Sepúlveda, with the common goal of creating a band in the City.
The decisive step to consolidate this project takes place in November, when they bocome as Cultural Association “Complutense Symphonic Band” of Alcalá de Henares. Among its repertoire features a variety of musical styles: operettas, pasodobles, classical, sacred, soundtracks, popular music, processional marches, etc.
The Complutense Symphonic Band has currently published two CDs, one for processional marches, recorded live at the San Ildefonso Chapel of the University of Alcalá to mark the Festival of Sacred Art in 2003, and another double CD recorded at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid May 19. It currently consists of about hundred musicians of different ages, under the leadership of its current director Raúl Miguel Rodríguez.
